The reader shows no text

TextMesh Pro’s Essential Resources may be missing. Run Window > TextMeshPro > Import TMP Essential Resources from the Unity menu.

Some characters in titles or contents show as boxes

The characters needed for document titles and contents are added to the reader font automatically when a PDF is added to the world. If boxes remain, select PDFReader System > FolioSystem in the Hierarchy and click Reconnect reader in the Inspector. Characters that the bundled font does not have stay as boxes and are listed in the build log.

A bake failed

The dialog shows the reason and where the log was saved. Click Create report in the window to pack the logs into a zip, and email it to ruoyuyo55@gmail.com (recommended). You can also contact us through the BOOTH shop message.

The window says there are several readers

Use one reader per world. Keep one and delete the others.

A page looks different from the original PDF

Please email the PDF to ruoyuyo55@gmail.com and we will look into the cause. If you cannot send the PDF, a screenshot of the page is also fine.

Can I use scanned PDFs?

Yes. Each page is an image, so sharpness when zoomed depends on the scan resolution, and the world tends to get larger. If you have the original document, a PDF exported from it works better.

Does it work on Quest (Android)?

No. PDFReader is for VRChat PC worlds.
